How to Replace a Headlight in a 2005 Honda Accord EX

The 2005 Honda Accordance EX--the third model in the seventh-generation (2003 to 2007) of the Accord lineup--has a drastically different headlight setup than its predecessors (1997 to 2002 models). The previous models had sufficient clearance in the engine compartment to access the headlights, just in the 2005 Accord, the inner fender encompass must exist removed when replacing the low-beam or the high-beam bulbs. The process replace either of these bulbs is a manageable one for the DIY mechanic.

Replacing the Low Beams

Step 1

Turn your steering wheel all the mode in the contrary management of the headlight you are replacing: For example, if you're replacing the passenger'south side bulb, plow the steering bike to the left. Warnings

• Both the 9006 and 9005 bulbs have their ain sockets. Hold onto the socket--instead of the glass--when replacing a headlight. Touching the glass can cause the bulbs to fail. Wipe the seedling with a small chip of rubbing booze if you accidentally bear on it.
